Heather Farm Dog Park: Wag World

Working in cooperation with the City of Walnut Creek, we have a permanent dog park in Heather Farm. A story about the opening was in the Contra Costa Times. Photos of the opening are available as is a short video:

The park is located at 550 North San Carlos Drive in Heather Farms Park. To reach the park, turn onto North San Carlos from Ygnacio Valley. Follow San Carlos to the back of the park. Once it takes a sharp left turn, Wag World will be on your right side. The park is open 8:00AM on weekends and holidays.

The park is closed during the rainly season and when necessary to refresh the turf. Call the City's Turf Hotline 256-3574 to get a status on the park.

Please review the Petiquette for the dog park.

Walnut Creek's Police Dog
We also give back to the community by supporting worthwhile projects. Recently we helped Walnut Creek get another police dog. There was a news story in the Contra Costa Times about the latest four-legged officer thanks to WCDOG support of $9000 plus another $1000 from the community and funds from seized assets. A picture of the new officer can be found on page 7 of the Walnut Creek Nutshell.

But Walnut Creek needs more money for ongoing expenses. So let's keep going and continue to come together as a community to contribute to this very worthwhile project. Please make check payable to WCDOG/K9, and send it to P.O. Box 120, 1839B Ygnacio Valley Road, Walnut Creek, CA 94598.

Thank you!

Poop Scoops
We occasionally do poop scoops at Shell Ridge. The next time you're there, why not bring an extra bag or two and help keep the trail looking spiffy.
