responsible dog ownership, supports off-leash dog exercise, and
serves as a local educational resource to the community. WCDog works
with the City of Walnut Creek's Park, Recreation and Open Space
Commission in the development of an off-leash dog exercise areas.
By joining the group, you are showing support for off-leash dog
park locations within Walnut Creek, California.

Wag World Closure
The dog park at Heather Farm is scheduled be closed from Monday
April 21 through Friday June 13th for maintenance.
If you want to check to see if the park is open earlier than planned,
call the City's Turf Hotline 256-3574.
June 7th Seminar on Dog Park Citizenship
Join us from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 7th at the Heather
Farm Community Center for a fun and informative seminar on dog park
citizenship. Highly regarded local
master dog trainer Bonnie
Brown-Cali, owner of Dog Dynamics , will be
the featured speaker at the seminar. Some of the topics that will
be covered at this first ever seminar arranged by WCDOG and the
City of Walnut Creek include:
Is your dog ready for a dog park? (socialization, calming an over excited dog before you enter the park etc.)
Dog language (what's play what is not)
Dog park basic obedience for dogs
How to handle a dog fight
Dog first aid and CPR
Pet emergency planning
